Eastern Larch - Blue Sparkler

NATIVAR – A dwarf Eastern Larch with excellent blue colour. Compact, dense, globe of new blue spring needles which mature a greyish-blue by summer and turn yellow in the fall before they shed. Grows 3′ high by 2.5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Seedling selected from a witch's broom by Dr. Sidney Waxman of Connecticut in 1985.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.

Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers moist slightly acidic soils. Able to withstand very wet soil situations. 

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
