Witch Hazel - Common - Little Suzie

NATIVAR – A dwarf growing Witch Hazel! This compact variety features shorter internodes than the species and flowers at an early age. Branches are densely covered in fragrant, buttery-yellow flowers in the fall, while still in leaf. Green foliage turns a nice yellow during the fall. Grows to 4′-5′ high and wide.

Origin

Parentage unknown. Hybridized and introduced by Harald Neubauer of Hidden Hollow Nursery, Tennessee in 1992.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.

Soil: Tolerant of various soils but prefers a well draining one, slightly acidic.

Maintenance: Selective trimming in spring right after the flowers have finished. Do not trim in fall, as flower buds have already been set.
