NATIVAR – A semi-dwarf variegated Witch Hazel! Dark green leaves are boldly edged with stunning lemon to creamy-yellow margins which don’t burn in the sun. The short-internode foliage which is about half-sized of the species turns a standard soft yellow in the fall. Lightly-scented yellow fall flowers appear while still in leaf. An upright-pyramidal, growing about 8′-10′ high by 4′-8′ wide.

Origin

Parentage unknown. Discovered by Robert Wilkinson at Walnut Hill Farms in Tennessee as a sport.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.

Soil: Tolerant of various soils but prefers a well draining one, slightly acidic.

Maintenance: Selective trimming in spring right after the flowers have finished. Do not trim in fall, as flower buds have already been set.
