Yew - English - Melford
A female, semi-dwarf, columnar English Yew. Forms a narrow, broadly columnar form of dark green needles. Similar to ‘Fastigiata’ but slightly more cold hardy. Grows 5′ high by 2′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated in Denmark before 1970.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Full Shade. Must be planted in a well protected area out of the prevailing winter winds.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Dislikes constantly wet soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
