NATIVAR – Almost identical to the original Dwarf Alberta Spruce, however, new needles are creamy-yellow initially during its second flush maturing to medium green. Dense, conical, grows 3′ high by 2′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin

Found as a mutation of Picea glauca 'Conica' by Don Howse at Iseli Nursery, Oregon in 1978.

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun. Protect from prevailing winter winds.

Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers slightly acidic soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
