Norway Spruce - Dwarf

One of the oldest culivated varieties of dwarf Norway Spruce! Slow growing, forming a sculptured mound that could be considered a living rock. Broadly conical, dense and congested shoots occasionaly extend out a bit more vigorously. Grows 2.5′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. In cultivation since 1800. First described by John Claudius Loudon in 1838.

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.

Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers  slightly acidic soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
