Witch Hazel - Hybrid - Harry

A compact semi-dwarf growing Witch Hazel. Yellow flowers with a hint of orange at the base and a purple calyx are born on bare stems during mid-to-late winter. Flowers are slightly fragrant. Dark green leaves turn a nice yellow fall colour with some orange. Grows 6′-8′ high and wide.

Origin

Parentage unknown. Introduced by the De Belder family of Belgium in 1988. Named after Harry von Trier.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.

Soil: Tolerant of various soils but prefers a well draining one, slightly acidic.

Maintenance: Selective trimming in spring right after the flowers have finished. Do not trim in fall, as flower buds have already been set.
