Chinese Flowering Dogwood - Big Apple
Similar to a regular Chinese Flowering Dogwood but everything is extra-large! 5 1/2″ bracts (flowers) emerge in spring overlaying textured dark green foliage. The foliage transitions to shades of red, orange and purple in the fall in conjunction with its very large red fruit ranging between 1 1/4″-1 1/2″ in size! Grows 15′-20′ high and wide.

Parentage unknown.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
