When customers ask for a dwarf Hinoki Cypress, chances are they are talking out this one! Tight, dark green foliage held in thick bunches creating a globe shape when young, later gaining a leader to become somewhat conical. Grows 2.5′ high and wide in a 10 year period but different understocks can affect this.

Parentage unknown. Introduced by R. Smith of H. Rogers & Son Nurseries, United Kingdom in 1867.

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Tolerant of various well draining soils, preferring slightly acidic.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to early August.
