A semi-dwarf, columnar Japanese Plum Yew. Forms a cluster of densely bunched upright stems of rich dark green foliage. Grows 5-6′ high by 1.5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Grown in Japan since before 1830.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Full Shade. Shelter from prevailing winter winds.
Soil: Tolerant of various soils preferring slightly acidic however, dislikes water-logged soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to early August.
