Japanese Full Moon Maple - Elegant
A compact Full Moon Maple with spring foliage that emerges a plum-purple colour with contrasting yellow-green veins. Leaves mature to a solid dab green by summer. Foliage turns lovely oranges and reds in the fall. Grows 6′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Seedling of Acer shirasawanum 'Palmatifolium'. Discovered and introduced by Buchholz Nursery, Oregon.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
