Japanese Maple - The Bishop

This upright Japanese Maple has medium size purple-red foliage. Like most, the leaves emerge brightest in the spring before darkening by summer. Some bronzing may occur by late summer. The foliage changes to a fantasic crimson colour in the fall. Grows 8′ high by 6′ wide in a 10 year period.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
