Acer palmatum ‘Metamorphosa’

Acer palmatum ‘Metamorphosa’

Japanese Maple - Metamorphosa®

A wonderful, dwarf variegated Japanese Maple. Think of it like a dwarf version of ‘Butterfly’. Small dissected sickle-like leaves emerge yellow and quickly develops a pink margin. As the leaves mature, the margin changes to pink with the leaf base changing to a medium green. The foliage continues to transform in the fall to orange-red and eventually reddish-pink. Grows 5′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.
