Japanese Maple - Lily Pad
A stunning variegated form of ‘Mikawa yatsubusa’! Elongated, swirling foliage emerges a light green with varying degrees of yellow markings. Foliage darkens by summer before turning orange and red in the fall. Variegation is more showy during the spring and fall. Compact and dwarf, grows 3′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Variegated bud sport from Acer palmatum 'Mikawa yatsubusa'. Found at Don Schmidt Nursery, Oregon.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
