One of the most delicate, laciest foliage of all the weeping Japanese Maples. Maroon spring and summer foliage changes to bright crimson fall colour. Slower growing, stake to desired size.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found as a chance seedling by William Curtis, Oregon in 1950 and Introduced by Iseli Nursery, Oregon.

Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
