Japanese Maple - Cutleaf - Green River

A weeping cutleaf Japanese Maple with leaves looking closer to a dissected Full Moon Maple leaf. Leaves emerge a bronzy-green in spring maturing to solid green by summer and transitioning to vivid gold in fall. This variety leafs out later than most making it less susceptible to late frosts. Stake to desired size.

Origin

Technically a hybrid as one of its parents is Acer shirasawanum 'Palmatifolium'. Found and introduced by Buchholz Nursery of Oregon.

Special Notes

Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
