Probably the most well known and asked for Japanese Maple. When customers come in and ask for a Japanese Maple, 90% of the time they are refering to the tradtional and commonly planted Bloodgood. In the spring, large leaves emerge bright red and change to a reddish-purple for most of the season till fall when it becomes a more intense red. Grows 10′ high by 8′ wide in a 10 year period.
