A Satsuki Azalea boasting a spectrum of colours! Medium 2.5″ single flowers appear late April and early May. The colouration of the flowers can be completely random ranging from white or pink with a reddish-orange or coral pink border to being completely clear-pink or medium pink. All on the same plant! Grows 3′ high and wide.

Origin

Seedling from Azalea 'Yata no kagami'. Introduced before 1979.

Special Notes

Exposure: Morning Sun, afternoon shade or all day filtered light. Protect from the hot mid-day sun. Protect from the prevailing winter winds, plant in a sheltered location.

Soil: A very acidic, moist but well draining soil is required. Avoid heavy compacted soils such as clay.

Maintenance: Selective pruning right after flowering in done. Dead-heading is recommended for increased flower production the following year.
