
Acer palmatum ‘Ueno homare’
Japanese Maple - Fame of Ueno
A medium sized Japanese Maple, similar to ‘Katsura’ but having a deeper and brighter orange colouration. Small new spring leaves emerge deep yellow with reddish-orange margins. The foliage changes to a yellowish-green by summer and turns a vivid orange-yellow during the fall. Grows 8-10′ high by 6′ wide in a 10 year period.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
