Japanese Maple - Painted Nails
Young red shoots push yellow-green new spring foliage with purple-red tips. The foliage softens to a solid dark green by summer and transitions to various shades of red in the fall. Grows 5′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
