Japanese Maple - Black Ink Throw

Vigorous, strong growing Japanese Maple with large leaves which are elongate-ovate and tapper towards the end. Bright purple-red spring foliage transitions to a dark purple-red to almost black-red in colour by summer. By late summer, leaves take on green and bronze tones before turning crimson in the fall. Also, features bright red maple keys. Grows 10′ high by 6′ wide in a 10 year period.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
