Japanese Maple - Round Harp

A dwarf, compact Japanese Maple with small roundish leaves that emerge yellow-green with bronze edges deepening to a dark green by summer. In summer, new foliage continues the bronze-yellow theme creating a nice overlay to the more mature dark green foliage. In the fall, foliage transitions to yellow-orange. Grows 4′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Originated as a witch's broom from Japan.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
