Japanese Maple - Karasu gawa

A Japanese Maple with outstanding new growth! Spring foliage emerges bright pink to whitish-pink with green flecks depending on the leaf. By summer more green tones occur, again making each leaf very irregular with its colouration and variegation. Fall time brings colours of red and orange. Grows 10′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Special Notes

Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
