Japanese Maple - Gold Digger

A newer yellow-bark Japanese Maple with outstanding spring colour! New leaves emerge peach and transition to chartreuse with a reddish edge during spring. By summer, the leaves turn a solid green. During the fall, the leaves start yellow before they fully transition to red and orange. Of course, its main feature is the yellow stems which standout especially during the cooler winter months. Grows 8-10′ high by 6-8′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Introduced by Mr. Maple of North Carolina.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
