One of the favourite Japanese Maples used for bonsai due to its bark which becomes rough with age similar to cork. Small green leaves turn yellow in the fall. Upright growing to 10′ high in a 10 year period.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
