A large growing Spanish Fir. Forms a conical habit having brown buds and short, stiff blue needles. More cold resistant than the species. Grows 10′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Seedling selected by Desfossé and Thuillier Nursery of France in 1867.
Special Notes
Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil. Dislikes extremes such as wet or bone-dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.
