NATIVAR – A dense dwarf Canadian Hemlock. Tiny dark green needles are widely spaced at the tips of branches giving it an open look let a dense interior. Globose conical, grows 18″ high by 14″ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Seedling selected by Verkade's Nursery, New Jersey in 1961.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun to Full Shade.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining, acidic soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay and dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
