NATIVAR – A dwarf Canadian Hemlock which has a semi-open pyramidal form of thick and strong, very densely arranged ascending branches. Deep green needles. Grows 4′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated at the home of Peter Maxwell of Maxwell Nurseries, Geneva, New York.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun to Full Shade.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining, acidic soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay and dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
