A lepidote, dwarf growing Rhododendron. The most dwarf form of all the PJM types. Small 1 5/8″ wavy edged flowers are lavender-pink and are born in trusses of 15 flowers. Blooms early midseason. Foliage turns a dark mahogany colour in winter. Very compact, growing 2′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Sport of Rhododendron 'PJM Victor'. Introduced by Weston Nurseries of Massachusetts.

Special Notes

Exposure: Morning Sun, afternoon shade or all day filtered light. Protect from the hot mid-day sun. Protect from the prevailing winter winds, plant in a sheltered location.

Soil: A very acidic, moist but well draining soil is required. Avoid heavy compacted soils such as clay.

Maintenance: Selective pruning right after flowering in done. Dead-heading is recommended for increased flower production the following year.
