Fagus sylvatica ‘Dawyck Gold’
European Beech - Dawyck Gold
A large growing, narrow-upright European Beech. Golden-yellow new leaves emerge on upright branches, almost parallel with the trunk. Foliage matures to yellow-green or light green by summer and turns back to yellow in fall again. Grows 70′ high by 12′ wide.

Origin
Hybrid seedling of Fagus sylvatica 'Dawyck' and Fagus sylvatica 'Zlatia'. Selected by Dick Van Hoey Smith of Holland in 1968.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to early August.
