Vineland Nurseries, owned by Jim & Simone Lounsbery, has been a family based business since 1976. Back then, Jim fell in love with dwarf and unusual conifers,
Japanese Maples and Rhododendrons, plants which were basically non-existent at the time. With this passion at hand, Jim wanted to make these wonderful plants more
available to the homeowner and Vineland Nurseries was born. Today, he, his wife Simone & son Malcolm, along with their dedicated staff continue this mission. At
present, in addition to dwarf and unusual evergreens, Japanese Maples and Rhododendrons, one can expect to experience a selection of numerous rare & unusual
trees & shrubs, perennials and a wide range of nursery plants.
Both owners have a wide and varied background in plants and the horticultural trades.
Simone: Niagara Parks Diploma in Horticulture (NPD 97) plus a good 30 yrs. in the nursery business – owner, sales, landscape design, planting, consultation.
Jim: Diploma in Horticulture, plus Certified Arborist, part-time instructor at various Horticultural Colleges over the years, previously Manager and Instructor at Mohawk College in Horticulture for the Continuing Education Program, lecturer and speaker on many horticultural topics. Jim is available for lectures, speaking engagements, workshops and consultations.
